Customer Team Visits Welping for Pre-Shipment Inspection of Two WP1200A Butt Fusion Machines
Recently, a customer team visited the Welping factory for the pre-shipment inspection of two WP1200A large-diameter hydraulic butt fusion machines they had ordered.
The inspection focused mainly on one of the WP1200A machines. During the visit, the customer checked the machine configuration in the workshop and observed its operating condition on site. For a machine designed for large-diameter HDPE pipe welding, the customer was not only concerned about the model and appearance, but also about how the machine performed during operation, especially whether the hydraulic system showed any oil leakage.
A Closer Look at the WP1200A in the Workshop
In the Welping workshop, the customer team reviewed the main structure of the WP1200A, including the machine frame, clamps, hydraulic unit, control panel, and auxiliary lifting device.
As a large-diameter butt fusion machine, the WP1200A comes with heavy components such as the heater plate and facer. The machine inspected on site was equipped with a lifting device to help move and position these parts during operation. This makes handling easier and helps reduce the manual effort required during daily use.
The customer walked around the machine and checked the main components closely. Compared with reviewing photos, videos, or specification sheets, an on-site inspection gives customers a much clearer view of the machine size, structure, and assembly details.
Pre-Shipment Operation Test
In addition to checking the machine configuration, the operation test was an important part of this visit.
Welping technicians ran the WP1200A on site and checked the hydraulic unit, control panel response, frame movement, and oil circuit connections. The customer team observed the process and paid close attention to the working condition of the hydraulic system.
For a hydraulic butt fusion machine, the sealing condition of the oil hoses, connectors, and hydraulic unit is important. During the test, the team checked the relevant connection points and observed whether any oil leakage appeared while the machine was running.
After the on-site test, the WP1200A operated normally, and no oil leakage was found in the hydraulic system.
A Practical Step Before Shipment
For large-diameter equipment, a pre-shipment inspection is a practical and necessary step. It allows the customer to confirm the machine configuration, operating condition, and key components before the equipment leaves the factory. It also gives both sides a chance to discuss operation details and points to note for future use.
This kind of on-site confirmation is more direct than communication through photos or videos alone. The customer can see the real machine condition, while the factory team can answer questions immediately during the inspection.
After the inspection, the WP1200A machine was confirmed to be in good working condition and ready for the next stage of shipment preparation.
