FX160– Butt Fusion Machines for Joining Plastic Pipes
At Welping’s workshop, our team recently carried out a demonstration with the FX160 butt fusion welding machine, using 160mm HDPE and MPP pipes. The operation included the full sequence of steps—clamping, facing, heating, and welding. Each stage moved forward in a stable way, and the joints that resulted were uniform, well aligned, and firmly bonded.
The FX160 is designed for projects where consistency matters. Its solid frame and control system support steady operation, while the heating and pressure settings make it possible to achieve repeatable results across different jobs.
This makes it suitable for a wide range of pipeline applications, including water supply, gas distribution, cable protection, and industrial piping, where safety and durability are critical.
During operation, the facing tool prepared the pipe ends evenly so that they matched smoothly before fusion. The heating plate maintained a steady temperature across the surface, and once cooled, the pipes formed into a continuous section. The process followed the set parameters in a controlled way, allowing the welds to be completed efficiently on site.

Fusing X has already been applied in a variety of pipeline projects. In irrigation systems, it is used to weld HDPE pipes that deliver water to farmland. In municipal drainage and sewage works, it joins MPP and HDPE pipes to handle continuous flow. In gas distribution, it welds medium-diameter pipes where joint strength is required. In these projects, operators use the machine to prepare, heat, and fuse the pipe ends, forming continuous lines that can be put into service on site.
