WP315A Hydraulic Butt Fusion Machine on a PE Pipeline Jobsite in Greece
We recently received a few jobsite photos from one of our customers in Greece, where a WP315A hydraulic butt fusion machine is being used for PE pipe installation.
The photos show the machine working in a real field environment, with PE pipes laid out along the site and the main machine, hydraulic unit, facer, and heating plate all positioned close to the working area. Other pipework equipment can also be seen in the background, giving a good picture of an active pipeline installation site.
WP315A in Actual Field Use
From the closer view, the WP315A is already set up for pipe joining, with the hydraulic unit and other tools placed beside the machine.
The WP315A is one of our established hydraulic butt fusion models. Its four-clamp frame holds the pipe securely during operation, while the hydraulic system controls pipe movement and fusion pressure. The facer is used to prepare clean, even pipe ends, and the heating plate brings the joint surfaces to the required fusion temperature.
The basic working process follows the usual butt fusion sequence:
Pipe Clamping → Facing → Alignment Check → Heating → Fusion → Cooling
On a pipeline project, these same steps may be repeated many times throughout the day. In this kind of work, practical details matter: stable pipe clamping, smooth facing, easy alignment, and consistent hydraulic control all help keep the joining process moving steadily.
Pipeline Work Is a Continuous Process
The wider jobsite photo gives a better view of the scale of the work.
A large number of PE pipes are stacked and laid out along the working area, with several pieces of pipe-related equipment positioned around the site.
For this type of pipeline installation, butt fusion is rarely a matter of making only a few joints. As the pipeline moves forward, the fusion machine needs to keep pace with the installation, joining one pipe section after another.
Factory photos are useful for showing the structure and condition of a new machine. Jobsite photos show something different.
Here, the WP315A is surrounded by pipes, cables, tools, pallets, dust, and all the normal details of field construction. That is a much more realistic picture of how a butt fusion machine is actually used.
From these photos, we are not looking at a new machine sitting in a factory. We are looking at a WP315A already at work on a PE pipeline project in Greece.
