Welping butt fusion machine facers use a gear-driven transmission system. The design provides stable power transfer, smooth and uniform rotation, a compact internal layout, and eliminates the need for chain tension adjustment. The enclosed structure also helps protect the transmission components from pipe shavings, dust, and jobsite contamination.

This article explains how to set the heating plate temperature for PE100 and PE80 pipe butt fusion welding. PE100 pipes are usually welded at around 220°C, while PE80 pipes should be adjusted according to wall thickness: thinner pipes close to 220°C, and thicker pipes closer to 200°C with longer soaking time. It also reminds operators that temperature is only one part of proper welding control.

On B Series butt fusion machines up to 315mm, the clamp contact surface is additionally machined after coating to create a flatter metal contact area. This small manufacturing detail helps the clamp inserts fit more evenly and improves clamping stability during daily pipe fusion work.

A lifting crane helps operators handle the heavy heating plate and facer more safely and smoothly on large-diameter butt fusion machines.
